Scheduled Maintenance by ECG

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance across six operational regions on March 11, 2026, which will result in power outages starting at 9:00 am in all affected areas.

Residents in the Accra East Region will face a full-day outage lasting from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Accra West Region will experience an eight-hour outage, also from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

In the Tema Region, power will be unavailable for six hours, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Western Region will undergo two separate maintenance exercises concurrently, with the first operation running from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and the second from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Residents have been advised to make necessary arrangements for the disruptions, as the maintenance is aimed at enhancing service reliability and reinforcing the stability of the national grid.

ECG has expressed its apologies for the inconvenience caused by these outages, which will vary by region and location depending on the specific scope of engineering works.

This planned maintenance is part of ECG’s regular efforts to maintain and improve infrastructure, ensuring that the electricity supply remains stable and reliable for all consumers.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional measures that may be implemented to mitigate the impact of these outages on residents and businesses.
