The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season continues with the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Woodhouse, marking the 19th event on the 25-event schedule. The tournament is being held from August 6-9 at The Club at Indian Creek in Omaha, Nebraska. This year’s event features a purse of $1 million, with the winner receiving $180,000.
The field includes 11 PGA TOUR winners, who collectively hold 14 victories, with Cameron Champ leading with three TOUR wins. Additionally, 65 Korn Ferry Tour winners, accounting for 89 total victories, are competing. Among them is four-time winner Robby Shelton, who previously won the Pinnacle Bank Championship in 2022.
Nine players in the field are ranked within the top 200 of the Official World Golf Ranking. These include Doc Redman (No. 125), Ross Steelman (No. 132), Ian Holt (No. 145), Cole Sherwood (No. 154), Davis Lamb (No. 167), Dylan Menante (No. 168), Tommy Morrison (No. 172), Jeremy Gandon (No. 174), and Carson Young (No. 186).
Luke Gutschewski, an Omaha native and son of three-time Korn Ferry Tour winner and University of Nebraska alum Scott Gutschewski, is making his third appearance at the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Woodhouse. His first Korn Ferry Tour start was at the 2024 Pinnacle Bank Championship.
Recent performances and tournament history
Derek Hitchner recently secured a victory at the Utah Championship presented by Zions Bank and Intermountain Health, winning a five-player playoff. Hitchner’s birdie on the first playoff hole earned him his first Korn Ferry Tour win in his 18th career start. This win also granted him Korn Ferry Tour membership for the first time, following a No. 8 finish on the 2025 PGA TOUR Americas Points List.
Ian Holt has regained the top position on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List after a T9 finish at the Utah Championship. Holt, a two-time winner this season, initially took the No. 1 spot in January after his win at the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at the Abaco Club, before Doc Redman briefly overtook him in June.
Tommy Morrison, following a runner-up finish at the Utah Championship, has achieved top-10 finishes in all five of his professional career starts. Only Adrien Dumont de Chassart has a longer streak of consecutive top-10 finishes to begin a Korn Ferry Tour career, with six. Morrison became the fifth player to win on the Korn Ferry Tour in the same season he earned membership through PGA TOUR University performance benefits, having finished No. 6 in the PGA TOUR University Class of 2026.
Fourth-year Korn Ferry Tour member Cole Hammer recorded his best career finish on Tour with a T2 at the Utah Championship, where he lost to Hitchner in the five-player playoff. Hammer moved to No. 20 on the Points List, being the only player to enter the top 20 after last week’s event. His previous best finish on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List was No. 65 in 2024.
Now in its 10th year on the Korn Ferry Tour schedule, the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Woodhouse is recognized for its challenging course. The Club at Indian Creek has hosted the event for all 10 years and has been ranked among the top-10 toughest courses on Tour five times, including three appearances in the top five: 2019 (No. 5), 2020 (No. 5), and 2024 (No. 5).
The Pinnacle Bank Championship was established in 2017, but the Korn Ferry Tour previously held an event in Nebraska, the Omaha Classic, from 1996 through 2013. David Skinns is one of 16 players in Korn Ferry Tour history to win the same event multiple times, achieving this in 2018 and 2021.
Points and exemptions at stake
Beyond the prize money, the tournament offers significant points, perks, and benefits, especially for the winner. The event awards 500 Korn Ferry Tour points to the winner. The top 20 players at the end of the 2026 season will earn a PGA Tour card for the subsequent season.
The winner of the Pinnacle Bank Championship will also receive approximately 17.7 Official World Golf Ranking points, which will enhance their world ranking. The 156-player field will compete on the par-71, 7,721-yard course.
The defending champion for this event is Christo Lamprecht.
