Rev Dr Ebenezer Conduah Arrested
“In the early hours of 6th March, as the Nation prepared to celebrate our 69th Independence Day, the hardworking team at the Cyber Security Authority Ghana effected the arrest of one Rev Dr Ebenezer Conduah in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service,” stated Samuel Nartey George, a key figure in the investigation.
Conduah, a self-styled radio international marriage counsellor, was taken into custody for offenses relating to child sexual abuse material, specifically in violation of sections 62 and 63 of Act 1038. The arrest has raised significant concerns within the community.
Authorities revealed that the alleged abuse involved a 17-year-old minor and had reportedly been ongoing for about four years. Digital evidence linked to Conduah was uncovered, including recordings and online postings on international porn websites.
During a search of his premises, investigators retrieved five mobile phones, two hard drives, two memory cards, a computer system unit, sex toys, and female underwear. This evidence is crucial as the investigation unfolds.
Conduah has been remanded for three weeks to allow investigators to complete their work. He was arraigned before the Adenta Circuit Court on March 8, 2026, but the court did not take his plea due to jurisdiction issues.
In a statement, George noted, “The CSA team has uncovered recordings and online postings by the accused on international porn websites,” highlighting the severity of the allegations against Conduah.
During interrogation, the accused confirmed that he recorded a video involving a child victim, further complicating the case. The Cyber Security Authority received a request for technical assistance regarding multiple defilement cases pending before Cape Coast Circuit Court One.
It is important to note that Conduah is already standing trial on a defilement charge at a Circuit Court in Cape Coast, indicating a troubling pattern of behavior.
As the investigation continues, the accused has declined to make any further comments unless he has first consulted his lawyers. Details remain unconfirmed regarding the full extent of the allegations.
