Mika Godts has emerged as a standout talent in the Eredivisie, attracting interest from top European clubs after a stunning performance against NAC Breda. The 20-year-old Belgian winger joined Ajax from KRC Genk in January 2023 and made his first-team debut on April 9, 2023.
Godts has had an impressive season. He has scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists in 29 Eredivisie games during the current season. He ranks third overall in the league for chances created, with a total of 72. Additionally, he has attempted 170 dribbles, completing 79 of them.
His performances have not gone unnoticed. Clubs such as Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea have scouted him closely. Godts has already been capped twice at senior level by Belgium.
Ajax currently sits four points behind the UEFA Champions League spots with three rounds remaining. Godts has expressed his desire to stay at Ajax to win a trophy and recently extended his contract until 2029.
But it is unclear if Ajax will sell him unless a massive offer is made. Observers expect that interest will continue to grow as he develops further.
This club is so beautiful. I made my breakthrough here, and I owe everything to Ajax,” said Godts about his time at Ajax.
